The world this week: Trump calls off Iran War, Trump and Europe prepare for war in Greenland, and Carney visits Beijing.
I am experimenting with a new format this week. I will examine three major geo-political events of the past week, and provide analysis and context.
Let’s start with Iran. Many expected America to strike Iran, but Trump canceled airstrikes. There’s reporting that Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia talked Trump out of bombing Iran because they were afraid of regional instability. To maintain the narrative that Israel is in charge, Netanyahu claimed that he asked Trump to call off the strikes. What happened?
